# 950 Damar Resin Crystals ( graded ) Damar Resin is a natural tree resin derived from the viscous sap of the Southeast Asian damar pine. The tree sap is collected and by air drying separated into the volatile turpentine and the solid damar resin. It is used to make various traditional painting preparations, such as varnish and medium. ECO-HOUSE offers this fine raw material imported from Indonesia for artists who want to prepare their own formula. Since damar is a natural raw material, it contains some impurities, which have to be strained out after the resin has been dissolved. For this process, use ECO-HOUSE # 915 Natural Orange Terpene Solvent.

# 952 Damar Picture Varnish Eco-House Damar Varnish is made of high-quality damar resin from Indonesia and #115 Extra Mild Citrus Thinner in an approx. ratio of 1 : 1 with a small amount of linseed standoil for added elasticity of the varnish coat. Dry to touch within 12 - 24 hrs. Damar Varnish can be used as a final picture varnish over well-dried oil paintings (after 6-12 months) or as an ingredient to your own medium formula.  Damar Varnish provides a semi-gloss protective finish coat. For reduced coat thickness add Eco-House # 915 Natural Orange Terpene Solvent or in small quantity # 115 Extra Mild Citrus Thinner. Light yellowish clear, dries absolutely clear .

# 912 Linseed Stand oil Standoil is a light-coloured, pre-polymerized linseed oil, which increases lustre and water-resistence in a paint coat. It is mainly used in fine oil painting mediums and wood finishes. Due to its high viscosity and the resulting thicker paint coats, standoil is often used with metallic driers added in order to shorten dry times.

# 915 Natural Orange Terpene Solvent The most potent solvent in the Eco-House solvent system. Technically, this product can be a full - fledged substitute for turpentine, since it dissolves damar resin solids, hardened paint etc. However, like many natural essential oils it can have a sensitizing effect on sensitive persons if it is used too liberally. Therefore it should be used only in well-vented areas for those tasks where it's use is unavoidable.

# 115 Xtra Mild Citrus Thinner A Solvent must be capable of dissolving resins, oils, waxes and fats. This means that vital human organs are at risk when volatile solvents enter the body by inhalation. The most toxic compounds in low-grade petroleum solvents are aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, which also cause their obnoxious smell.
